Group General Manager (Queensland)

We are seeking a Group General Manager to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences and and operational excellence for the most dynamic and vibrant hospitality group in Queensland. The objectives and responsibilities of this role include:
  • Leading all FOH teams to optimise and maintain excellent standards and guest experience;
  • Regularly reviewing and improving on service standards;
  • Ensuring all the restaurants remain competitive within the target market;
  • Directing Restaurant Managers and Supervisors within each venue in daily activities, ensuring proper setup, service, and closing;
  • Developing teams through coaching, regular feedback and appraisals, goal-setting, ongoing training, and leading-by-example;
  • Working with the HR team to foster a positive and engaging team culture that welcomes open communication;
  • Working closely with and directing the Operations Manager and respective Restaurant Managers to achieve financial goals through effective management of operational performance;
  • Ensuring labour and supply costs are maintained;
  • Regularly reviewing and measuring KPIs to track restaurant performance;
  • Maintaining a strong presence on the floor during peak service;
  • Driving the recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members, with an aim of keeping staff turnover to a minimum;
  • Working with the HR and Training team to ensure up-to-date and compelling training materials,
  • Ensuring high standards of health and safety are adhered to in all venues,
  • Working closely with the owners on strategic initiatives and the group's development.
We seek candidate with:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
  • 5+ years of multi-site management experience in service-driven and culinary-forward restaurants;
  • A track record of successfully managing dynamic teams;
  • Ability to build rapport and productive relationships across different teams and roles, from owners to peers to direct reports;
  • A proactive, self-motivated working style, with ability to work independently as well as collaborating closely across functions;
  • An innate desire to drive, deliver and achieve excellence;
  • A natural inquisitiveness to continuously learn and improve oneself;
  • A kind, respectful, and attentive leadership style;
