Our partner is an established and successful group of restaurants that have in recent years dramatically transformed and elevated Bali's dining scene. Their beloved contemporary, wood-fired bistro draws in a large following of food and wine lovers - guests and industry peers alike who appreciate warm hospitality, creative, delicious dishes, high-quality ingredients, and lively atmosphere.
We are now seeking a Head Chef to lead the culinary operations and development of this stunning restaurant. The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing the menu offerings in line with the wood-fired, contemporary bistro concept;
- Leading, inspiring, and managing a culinary team of 15+, fostering a positive, professional, and productive environment;
- Ensuring the seamless execution of high quality food and beverage while driving consistently high team performance;
- Setting and achieving financial targets through close management of food and labour costs;
- Working collaboratively with key members of the restaurant and leadership teams across venues;
- Remaining hands-on, proactive, supportive, and solutions-oriented in the kitchen at all times.
We seek candidates who have:
- 3+ years of experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role in a reputable, full-service restaurant;
- A background in fine dining/Michelin-starred/hatted restaurants;
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills;
- Solid financial acumen and prior experience in managing kitchen budgets;
- Intimate knowledge of bistro cuisine;
- An innate desire to share knowledge and nurture others and collaboratively achieve excellence.
